I live at the beach and in the summer humidity is makeup enemy number one. Along with that I also work as a waitress and spend my work days running around in more heat. Needless to say I don't always feel like dealing with a full face of makeup in combination with all that heat. I say all that to say my favorites are pretty sparse this time of year. I decided to do a summer favorites instead of individual monthly favorites because of the lack of products I use in the summer.
The first item is a throw back to middle school me. Calgon body mist in the scent morning glory. To me it's a very fresh floral smell. I saw it and immediately remembered wearing it everyday. It's just a body spray so the scent doesn't linger all that long, but I really enjoy it for a nice clean scent. I also enjoy spritzing it on my pillows before bed.
Next is my Loreal brow stylist plumper in the shade light to medium. I never have been really into doing my brows. They have a nice shape on their own and lay nicely as well. The only thing they really need is some oomph to make them show up a little better since they are blond and a little filling in at the front part. This does the job nicely. This will give you hold if you need it and has a really nice amount of tint. I find it gives me more color than the NYX brow gel I was using before this. I do have to be a bit careful to not get the gel on my skin around my brow, but if I do a damp q-tip cleans it up easily.
Milani also got my attention with those new liquid matte lipsticks. I have been wearing these things out! I only got two to start with, but I want them all.

I also feel the need to mention the Mario Badescu facial spray yet again. I can't get enough. I use it as a setting spray just to get rid of the appearance of being powdery, but I also like it just for a bit of extra moisture after my moisturizer is applied or any time really. It's amazing and only $7.00. When I find something I love on the high end side of Ulta that costs $7.00 I feel the need to talk about it. A lot.
Thanks for reading lovely Mermaids :)
